As a parent, I understand how difficult it is to watch your child struggle with emotional and behavioral issues. These challenges can impact the functioning of an entire family. With several years of hands-on clinical experience, I've had the privilege of working with children and adolescents struggling with an array of behavioral and emotional challenges. I strive to create a safe, fun, and supportive space where children can share, explore, and process difficult thoughts and feelings.   My goal is to help children feel better and function better at home, at school, and/ or in the community.
My clinical focus/specialty is working with children ages 3-12 years old as well as adolescents. I assist children in building social skills, learning how to regulate their emotions, improving communication skills, and building confidence. I utilize a variety of play therapy approaches and interventions, from child centered, to a more directive approach, depending on the needs of the child. I also draw from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Expressive Arts Therapy. I look forward to being a part of your child’s therapeutic journey.
