As a parent, I understand how difficult it is to watch your child struggle with emotional and behavioral issues. However, you don’t have struggle alone. With several years of hands-on experience, I've had the privilege of working with children struggling with an array of behavioral and emotional challenges. I aim to help parents better understand their children through offering guidance, support, and encouragement. It is through the process of building a positive and supportive therapeutic relationship, that growth and healing can occur.
I enjoy working with adults of all ages; however, my clinical focus/specialty is working with children ages 3-12 years old. I assist children in building social skills, learning how to regulate their emotions, improving communication skills, and building self. I am devoted to creating a safe, warm, and welcoming space for children to engage in imaginative and creative play. I utilize a variety of play therapy approaches and interventions, from child centered, to a more directive approach, depending on the needs of the child. I also draw from a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Expressive Arts Therapy. I look forward to being a part of your child’s therapeutic journey.
